“YOU WIN, ONLY IF YOU WANT TO” TyFire

Tyfire once said “Dreams do come true, you can win if you
want to”. Sometimes we are pushed backwards with people who don’t understand
what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, how are you doing it and how long have
you been doing it. Tyfire a Hip Hop Rap Artist said “Not all can like you, but
never let their negative energy stop you from doing what you love.
“Mwai Tennyson Mtagaluka” Said Tyfire “That’s my real name. The
name Tyfire was made up by two elements people say I have, the first element is
“TY”. A TY is someone who is cool and knows how to chill with people. A person
who doesn’t real look friendly but once you know him/her you find a different
person. The second element “FIRE” came from lightening the mood everywhere I go
I grew up in a house of four boys who like Hip Hop and dropping
freestyles on our free times, so I can say the music environment it’s what made
me to dwell dip in it. My first production was in 2015 at CHICHIRI SECONDARY
SCHOOL fast forward in 2016 when I moved to L CITY where I met METH ACTIVE, we
started doing music together at H2 Production and people loved us. I then
transferred to BWAILA SECONDARY SCHOOL where I met EM JAY & J WANNAH, we
teamed up and dominated the whole school in music. And we were selected by the
school to perform with ZATHU BAND and I appreciate the love BWAILA showed me
this time when I was performing on stage. And the most funny and best part was
that I was awarded a BEST MUSICIAN award at the end of my high school. After
that I had a chance of performing on big stages like LILONGWE GOLF CLUB, MBOWE,
ICE GARDEN and many more.
So far I have released 15 tracks these include features and
5 videos. My mission in music it’s not only to be someone who is well known by
the world. My biggest mission is to put CHISAPO on the MAP, because most of
people have the wrong picture about this place. I LOVE THIS PLACE. That’s why I
came up with the theme am getting known with called TRAPPA WAKWA CHISAPO. And
to show my appreciation of our ghetto, I have released a new video which I
featured TYCE EL called 5 O’CLOCK IN CHISAPO (Link below)
To be honesty, it’s not that am passing all these moments
smoothly. Am meeting a lot of challenges on my way, like: lack of exposure, TV
and Radio station producers rejecting us and you know, music requires a lot
which need Money. This become a little less problem when my Brother SCARFACE
GONTHI started managing me.
Apart from doing Music I am also an actor, Music
video/movies/drama director.”
